Welcome or welcome back to my blog!
This is one of my maths tasks! It's all about stem and leaf graphs. I hope you enjoy :)
Hi :)
This is one of my literacy tasks where we had to write a short story about an artwork coming alive and we could choose any picture for the story to be based off of. I chose the picture down below which I actually realised was Zach King.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this short little narrative! <3

KATE HAD ALWAYS FOUND the art museum quite boring. Her definition of an art museum would be, “endless paintings of people and everyday objects.”
Her mother however, would believe the total opposite. Which is pretty much why they were at the new art museum in town. Kate dragged her feet across the floor, exhausted and dying of boredom. Her mother playfully rolled her eyes at Kate’s state. “Fine.” Her mother sighed. “We’ll look at a few portraits in the room ahead and then we’ll go.”
Kate happily claps her hands together and ecstatically nods. The room was empty, just the paintings, Kate, and her mother. Kate decides to do something she would’ve never expected she’d do: She was actually willingly looking at the art. Surprisingly, the portraits were actually very interesting. The contrast between each artists art style for human portraits varied.
Kate’s eyebrows knitted together as her eyes focused on a portrait of a man. The bottom half of his face was painted red, the nose was a mix between yellow and orange, and his forehead, white. Kate wondered why some artists did these sort of things in portraits. It was where they used colors that were quite an odd choice for a human in a portrait. She shrugged it off, turning her head to look at a different artwork.
As she turned her back on the portrait, she felt as if somebody's eyes were on her backside. In hopes of catching someone, or something off guard, she quickly spins back around only to be met with nothing out of the ordinary. She brushes the thought off, heading towards her mother. “Can we go home now, mother?” Kate asks, taking a glance at the portrait her mother was standing in front of. “In a bit.” Her mother replies, taking a picture of the artwork. Kate nods before turning her head back in the direction of the painting she was previously at.
“What the heck.” She mumbles, her eyes widening. She quickly made her way towards the portrait. She swore she had just seen the guy in the painting’s head peek outside of it’s frame, his right hand holding onto the bottom of the frame and his left hand, touching the wall. Much to her surprise, the man placed a finger on his lips indicating for her to keep quiet. But Kate did the total opposite. “Mother- This- The painting, it just moved!” She exclaims, keeping her eyes on the painting. The man silently freaks out, and tenses up as he returns to his original posture.
“It did no such thing, love.” Her mother responds, shaking her head and not turning to look. “But it literally-” Kate began. “Come on, we best be going now.” Her mother says, cutting Kate off. Kate sighed, following her mother out.
I am definitely checking that painting out next time.
Hi and welcome, or welcome back to my blog :)
This is my maths task for today. It features graphs and is about probability!
This task was quite fun to complete.
Also, my exit ticket score ended up being 5/8 because I wrote "100 student's" instead of just "100" and I got the 'name the graph' question wrong, even though I thought it would've been somewhat correct.
But anyway, have a lovely rest of your day <3
Hi; I hope you have had/are having an amazing day :)
This is one of my literacy tasks and it was to translate some phrases into Tuvaluan because it is
Tuvaluan language week!
Hi; Hope you are having an amazing day :)
As you may know I literally have done almost no work during this lockdown period so here we are.
This is a task room 1 literacy were given and it's quite easy so I completed it. It's basically like memes but they have kinda bad humour because I made them. Oh and basically all we had to do was add the captions, Mr Moran put the animal pictures there.
Have an lovely rest of your day/night <3
Room 1 Literacy did another quirky writing challenge! I finished this one yesterday, it's kind of short and sort of repeats the same thing a few times? But anyway, the person is Jojo Siwa and the object is toilet paper :)
Jojo Siwa | toilet paper
Statement: why Jojo Siwa should have her own toilet paper brand
1) Jojo Siwa’s introduction, who she is, ect.
2) Why should she have her own toilet paper brand?
3) Why would it benefit the public as well?
Jojo Siwa, a famous Tiktoker, former dancer on Dance Moms, Youtuber, and a role model to many children. Her career all started off with Dance Moms and being apart of the Abby Lee Dance Company. Jojo is known for her unique and stereotypically ‘childish’ style: A tight side ponytail accompanied with a colourful bow, along with a neon and, (most of the time) glittery outfit.
Many children look up to Jojo and so a toilet paper brand would be ideal for them. Imagine having toilet paper imprinted with Jojo’s magnificent face on it. I’d be amazed and in love! We all know how amazing toilet paper is by itself, so add the thought of it being from Jojo’s own toilet paper brand? An amazing thought, that is.
The public would absolutely adore owning toilet paper from her brand. I can just see it now, Jojo’s bows and face imprinted over the soft and delicate pieces of toilet paper. It’d get many peoples’ attention and also benefit her. The hashtag would be trending on every social media platform, #jojostoiletpaperisthebest.
So in conclusion, Jojo Siwa should most definitely have her own toilet paper brand. It’d be unique, stylish, trendy, and adorable. It’d be easy to afford as well. Priced at only $10 at the minimum and $20 at the most. There’d be different sizes to include more rolls of toilet paper as well. So, I hope you enjoyed this piece of writing. Do take her getting her own toilet paper brand into consideration for the future or the present.
Welcome or welcome back to my blog!
Mr Ferguson who works with Maniakalani, visited our classroom today! He said a short recap about how to make a positive comment on other peoples' blogs. We then went off to do our own commenting, even turning it into a little challenge.
I think this experience was really fun and I'd love to do it again. But, we already know how to comment on other peoples' blogs and we've done it many times before :)
Here's a few of the comment's I did:
Welcome or welcome back to my blog!
We have been looking at persuasive writing. We had to choose a topic to write about in persuasive writing style. I chose the topic, 'should students be allowed to wear mufti everyday?'. Here is my answer and writing. Maybe I was successful into persuading you into my opinion? :)
My answer: no, at least not everyday.
Three main points:
- Because of the many different school activities we have during the day, (sports, art etc), there would be a lot of washing and clothes going to waste.
- There would be dress code and nobody likes dress code.
- People might get teased for what they wear.
━━━
A good amount of students would probably want to wear mufti to school everyday. Perhaps to show a new piece of clothing they got. Or maybe they would rather prefer to express themselves through clothes instead of being stuck to wearing uniform. But the point is, should they be allowed to wear mufti at school?
Many students have an interest in sports. Specifically, rugby and most of the time, things get quite intense and it would result in muddy uniform. Even paint can get on our uniforms. That could result in upsetti spaghetti moms. So if we were to allow students to wear mufti, could you imagine how much money would go to waste? And how much washing there’d be?
We rarely get dress coded because of the fact we wear uniform and every now and then, somebody has to get a dress pass because their not wearing the Pt England School polo shirt. If mufti was allowed everyday, some students could be quite immature and might wear something with something inappropriate on it. And I doubt anybody wants to get dress coded and have to wear somebody else's' clothes.
Let’s face the fact that there would probably be people teasing others for what they wear. Maybe it’s due to the difference in style, but some people find the opportunity to tease somebody for anything. The idea of mufti everyday could possibly lower somebody’s self esteem just because of them wearing clothes they enjoy being in. Nobody should have to deal with that.
In conclusion, students should not be able to wear mufti everyday. Of course when the occasional mufti day, wacky hair day, or wheels day comes up, it’s more than OK for somebody to wear mufti because that’s an exception.
Welcome or welcome back to my blog!
My class and I watched a short video about the Olympics. We went off and had to make our own presentation about what we learnt, knew before, and found out :)

This is my maths task for today. It's about volume. I didn't get to finish it because we focused on volume only during the maths time. I'll try to edit it and do the maths at home :)
Hola amigo :)
This is my te reo task for te reo for rotations. Finau and I worked on it together. It's about how many there are. Check out Finau's blog here: here!
