Holiday Memory Recount
Hello everybody! Welcome back to my blog or welcome!
So first off, sorry for the big size of text. I'm just trying to make it look different from the story coming below!
Basically, today my class and I practised our writing test and had 40 minutes to write a highlight from the recent school holiday we had a few days ago! I wrote about how me and my friends biked to the reserve!
Here are the link's that take you to the people's blogs who came with me for a bike ride! Nunu, Nadi, Khittamai, Yi Yi and Shwe Shwe!
Enjoy y'all :)
“Eek!” my sisters both said. We just overheard my mum on the phone talking to our friends’ mum! From what we heard, it seems like we will all be biking down to the reserve!
“Yi Yi, Shwe Shwe and Aye Myat put on some sunscreen please!” My mum said as she handed us a bottle of sunscreen.
We put on some sunscreen on our legs, arm’s, face and neck and then put the bottle down on the table. We were screaming with excitement (but not loudly) and we kept going on about how fun it would be!
After my mum changed my baby brother’s clothes and put on some sunscreen on both him and herself, my sisters and I grabbed our helmet’s and sprinted to our shoes! We quickly slipped on our socks, followed by our sneakers and unlocked the front door.
“Close the door behind you!!” I said back to my sisters.
“Yeah, yeah I know, I know!!” They replied back.
I carefully moved my bike backwards from the grass it was parked on and then got on it. My sisters grabbed their own bikes and did the same. Eventually, my mum came out of the house with my baby brother in a stroller!
“Go open the gate” my mum asked me.
So I did as I was told (while I was on my bike of course)! My sisters and I all biked while my mum walked behind us. Once we reached this wiggly line of concrete in front of our school, we waited for one of our friends who was supposed to come any moment now…
We waited.. and waited.. and waited!! Around 30 minutes passed and they STILL weren’t here!! Even our other friends who were coming were already here!! “Any moment now” I thought to myself but nope, still no sign of them.
All of a sudden my friends FINALLY emerged out of their car in which they drove here to with.
“Nadi!! Nunu!!” I yelled. I was excited to see them, don’t get me wrong but like 30 minutes late isn’t a joke!! Hmph <:(
Anyways, Nadi rushed over to Yi Yi and Shwe Shwe since those three bond more together since they are all the same age, enjoy the same thing’s, all are really sassy and annoying sometimes and like glitter (+ some other things). Meanwhile, I was busy asking Nunu why they came so late.
“Why did you come so late??” I asked.
“It was my older brothers fault. He took so long in the shower and wouldn’t get out!” Nunu replied.
“Oh OK but still!! You came VERY late!! Khittamai, his mum and brother’s are waiting for us over there!!” I told her.
Unfortunately, they didn’t bring their bikes or anything so they had to walk while my sisters and I biked. If you didn’t know, near Pt England Beach there is a little area where you can have a nice walk, jog or bike and it’s like a long path with beautiful flowers and houses on the side.
Here’s a pro tip; Don’t get distracted by the breathtaking flowers because there are some dogs from the houses on the other side that bark so loud it actually almost made me fall of my bike!! Kind of like a jumpscare so watch out!!
It’s been about 15 minutes of biking and walking and it’s been so much fun! There is also a sea side on the left side of the path which is really cool and adds to the beauty of the flowers but if you fall in it, it won’t be really cool as there are rocks on the side so be careful please!!
“OH MY GOSH!!” I yelled with excitement.
“THERE IS A SLOPE DOWN HERE!!” Basically if you don’t understand why I was excited, there was this like slope that I knew would be very fun to bike down on and I REALLY wanted to bike down!!
“3, 2, 1…” I counted down…
“WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!” I yelled as I slided down the slope (on my bike) and had the time of my life!!
“Come on Yi Yi and Shwe Shwe!! TRY IT OUT!!!” I begged for them to slide down but them being the biggest scaredy-cats ever, didn’t try it out sadly.
After the down slope there was an up slope but it was a bit hard moving up it while being on my bike so I just walked it up instead. We biked\walked for another 20 minutes or so and took MANY pictures until it was time to bike and walk back :(
I was a bit upset but AWFULLY tired so it was kinda a win, win situation I guess? Anyways, I quickly biked as fast as I could so then while the others (who were SUPER slow!!) came I could go up and down the slope multiple times.
Overall, it was SO much fun!! Not to mention it was my first time biking there! Also, we were exhausted once we got home but we played a bit of Roblox, hehe :)
