Xylophone Nanogirl Experiment

Welcome back or welcome to my blog!

Hey guys welcome back!! Today I have some exciting news... Nanogirl has decided to make some holiday experiments for us to do during the holidays! On the last day of term 3, Mr Goodwin gave 10 of us some packs of the things that we would need for the experiments! For today's experiment, I chose to do the Xylophone experiment! Here is my research presentation, enjoy :)

  1. Hi Aye!

It's so great to see you doing the holiday blogging challenge. I had so much fun doing the first 2 challenges. Did you enjoy this one? Keep up the great work.

    Happy Holidays!

    1. Hey Finau!

Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog! Yes, I enjoyed doing this challenge, it's very interesting how the cup and different amounts of water vibrate different pitches!!

      Happy holidays to you too,

      Aye :)

  2. Kia ora, I have enjoyed exploring "Ayes Lab". Your images and labels made it very easy to follow.

I was wondering as I watched your video if the amount of tape or how tight the tape is makes a difference. Do you think this affects how the paper roll vibrates?

Hmmm, i'm actually not really sure if the tightness of the tape has anything to do with the sound it vibrates but, I think it doesn't have anything to do with the sound vibration! Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog!

      Have a lovely day,

      Aye :)

    1. Hi Mr Goodwin!

Thank you, I tried my best to make my presentation not boring so I am glad you like it!
The paper cylinder didn't really vibrate any noises so that wasn't easy to play but, the water and the cup one was very cool and fun to play!
I didn't try any songs because i'm afraid it would be cringe LOL.

Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog,

      Aye :)

  4. Aye, your video's are so good!
I love how clearly you explain everything it makes it really easy for others to follow.
You are showing such great engineering skills with your construction of the paper xylophone and your water xylophone was so noisy!
    Keep up the great work.
