Year 5\6 camp writing

Has your school ever been to camp before and let me mention at school? Well my school has, and it was an adventure let me tell you. Hi my name is Aye-Myat and this is my description about the annual year 5-6 camp that was held at Pt. England school.

Camp is something were you stay somewhere and sleep there and stay away from home. The year 5 and 6 students of Pt England School particularly did this activity at school. The reason year 5s and 6s went to camp is so we can communicate with each other and make new friends. The activities on the first day were riding scooters and skateboards and we did practice for camp concert on Thursday ( which is day 2) we also went to the G.I swimming pools and took a shower and also took a dip in the adults pool

One of my highlights were kayaking because I have never kayaked before which makes me a beginner at this activity.It was a life changing experience. When I first gone on the kayak my bones shivered as I picked up the rower (thing to paddle with. The rower or paddler was so heavy I felt like I was lifting a 50 gram weight.When I paddled things got even heavier the 50 grams doubled and turned into 100 grams! (well at least it felt like).I crashed into rocks many,many times and I had a teacher teach me 10 times how to paddle and yet I still did not get the hang of it. If you thought that was the end of the trouble,your wrong because when I went in a double/partner boat I road of into the distance and turned a little bit away from where I was supposed to be but of course a teacher helped us get back.

My second highlight was tenting. So basically what tenting is, is just putting your big bags inside of your tent and organize were this goes and where that goes. My tent buddies were Lesieli,Adriana and Jade and the most surprising thing that made my jaw drop was that way before Mr Goodwin told Adriana whom her tent buddies were I exactly said this “I wish my tent people can be you Jade and Lesieli. What happens if that does come true! Then that would be Amazingly fantastic!’’ I added quickly before Adriana could even say a glimpse of a word.

I recommend this camp for every school it is a way to cooperate and deal with situations cause we have to wake up at 7:00 in the morning so we get tired and grumpy but like i said we get over it. And if you do come to Pt England School then make sure you also get a chance to participate in this camp as well! And if your parents are not convinced enough to allow you to go camp then make sure your teacher can convince your parents and if your a teacher make sure you convince your students parents to help in this activity. There a some security sign ups so your parent or caregiver can come and be security at night your parents can also

come check up on you to make sure your alright for free.
