Fiafia 2021

Wow, what a night! Last night we participated in our Pt England Fiafia or cultural festival. It was a huge success with a range of acts from Hip Hop to Kapa Haka. It was a huge success with a massive crowd and delicious foodstalls!

This is Aaron's reflection of the night:
Yesterday was Fiafia day and there were so much food gathered in the table. There were drinks, and food. I don't know what kind of food there are because i didn't have time to try them but i didn't mind. When the big show started the crowd went WILD! They were excited to see our traditional moves.

My favourite dance was the year 7 and 8 Hip Hop, it made me kind of jealous and i want to join them so badly. My second favourite was the junior hip hop group and it was funny!. The way how Blessing's little brother danced was wild and he showed some moves that wasn't even in the dance!

This is Kiarah's reflection:
Last night was our 2 year annual FIA FIA, this is where the whole school is split into different culture groups. I was in the Tongan Girls group, and I had so much fun dressing up and dancing on the stage. Each group had their turn, but we were 5th to last! We got to see majority of the groups dance's, except for year 4-6 hip hop and the Myanmar group. My favourite groups were the Bollywood, because of the upbeat music and groovy dancing. My other favourite was the junior Jump Jam, because they had moves that put smiles on everyone's faces. It was overall a great night and we were cheering so loud that people lost their voices. Unfortunately this was our last FIA FIA, but maybe we can watch the others in the future.
